An avid duck hunter since his youth, Brett has had the privilege to be under the tutelage of many great duck hunters such as his uncle Randy Root and his good friend Joe Tonnellie. In addition to hunting with some of the best, he has also traveled and hunted ducks all throughout North America, South America, Mexico and even New Zealand. After many years of hunting and traveling the world and unsatisfied with the experiences, he decided to create his own outfitting company.
Francisco Palleja - Cultural Liaison
Since the start of the Southern Flight venture Francisco, Palle, has been working with Brett on everything from acquiring the best Estancias to baiting the marshes. He has been the liaison between Southern Flight N.A and Southern Flight S.A. insuring that all runs smoothly. Francisco has a degree in tourism & Psychology from the Univ. of Buenos Aires and currently operates his own travel agency along with his work with Southern Flight. Francisco brings to a keen knowledge of travel in Argentina and S.A. in general to the team.

When Dave tried duck hunting for the first time he
was hooked, and over the years, he has had the opportunity to hunt in 13 North American states and 3 Canadian provinces as well as Argentina.He met Brett "Root" Ericksen several years ago through other hunters, and jumped at the opportunity to work with Brett to make the 2007 Argentina trip a success. He enjoyed learning about the Argentinian culture and meeting the people nearly as much as the hunting itself.
Tim Presley - Guide
Tim is 53 years old and has waterfowled his entire life. Duck hunting is his speciality, but he also loves to dove hunt on the side. Tim has traveled to North Dakota every year since the early 80's to go duck hunting, the experiences he has had there cannot compare to duck hunting in Argentina. Tim is a family man with 2 beautiful children, one being his son Kelly who love to try to out hunt his dad on duck, dove and goose kills! Tim owns a sporting goods store that has been in the family since 1946. Being in the outdoors is his main interest and he enjoys sharing these experiences with others.
